Gene first saw the light of day almost seven years ago on the Opinion Forum of the Times Educational Supplement website. How wonderful cyberspace to enable us to create such anonymous characters! Such wonderful anonymous friends as Nonexistentialdyke, Sir Henry, Jbloggs, Goretti Hislop, Elaine C, In You Go Jones, Cuteinpuce, Grunwald, Existentialtyke, Robert Pennington, Detterling, Middlemarch, Mainwaring, Bigkid et al.
Alas we do not exist. Yes, Gene, Detterling, Robert Pennington, Seren_dipity (thankfully!) Middlemarch (sadly!) et al are such stuff as dreams are made on...
