You may continue to send seasonal greetings to me by name - Detterling - but you will not refer in them to any other member of my family by the names you have invented for them - ie, "Delia, Sebastian, Cuthbert, Lucretia and Ffiona".

Should you make such a reference even once then Fr Nicholas, Ms Atkins, the Catholic Herald and the Westminster Record will be sent the email in full, and the calamity you dread will be visited upon you.
