Does Detterling suffer from false memory syndrome?
While I was in hospital recently I had quite a bit of time to think. This thought occurred to me: Does Detterling suffer from false memory syndrome?
Detterling seems to continually imagine events which have just not happened - or blocked out events which really have happened. Let us have a superficial look at some of the evidence. Firstly let us consider the legendary Duke of York showdown which took place on 25th November 2006. Detterling's account varied significantly from every other account given. Did he imagine events that just did not happen?
Then there were those claims of unspeakable acts that I was supposed to have carried out with Delia. Never happened.
One false allegation he has persisted with over the years is that I asserted that Detterling's gay nephew and his nephew's partner adopted a little boy with the intention of abusing him. Never happened. I would never do such a thing.
Then of course there was his denial of the existence of notorious TES Opinion Forum Clique. Such denial is of course flat-earther territory. The Clique most certainly existed. In fact the nefarious activity of The Clique was often written about on the TES Personal Forum right up until the week it closed down at the end of 2020.
And if Detterling denies The Clique existed he ipso facto denies the role it played in the fate of Myrtle Thornberry R.I.P.

For your information Detters I am not bald. I abandoned the shaven-headed look some years ago. My hair is snowy white and short all over. I don't have a goatee beard now. I have a short, well-trimmed full beard.
Fat? Well, I am not as trim and slim as I once was but I would be very disappointed if anyone called me fat.

There is no hypocrisy involved - I have made it perfectly clear from the outset of this latest exchange that, unless you accept and obey to the letter the terms of the truce I offered you, I will drop you neck deep in the shit without much more further delay. Where is the hypocrisy in that?

The narcissistic personality disorder from which you have suffered as long as I have been aware of you has now become a full blown pyschosis which I think is endangering your grasp on reality. In writing to Frs Schofield and Heslin, and Deacon Abrahams, I will be making clear to them that their pastoral duty towards you lies in making an urgent intervention to put you in the way of the help you need. Where is the hypocrisy in that?
That the price of your getting the help you need is that you must first be dropped in the shit is one which, in the end, is well worth your paying. It is also a valuable bonus for me, in that by getting you the help you do desperately need, you will also be in deep disgrace in your local Catholic and scholastic community. I believe it is called killing two birds with one stone, and I am making no secret of my intentions.
