OVERHEARD IN HARRIS & HOOLE...

Friday 14th July
Myself, Tony of the Big Saloon, Mary Winterbourne and Ducky Duckworth got together this morning in Harris & Hoole. Ducky is now out on summer holiday already - he teaches in a private school. He is de-mob happy. The last time we were here there was a problem. The cafe's dishwasher had broken down and we were served coffee in paper cups. Tony of the Big Saloon told the manager that we would not be returning if we were served with papers cups. Everything is fine today and my black Americano is served in a lovely ceramic mug.
The following could be overheard:
GENE: Well folks we have seen how Detterling received an exemplary caning from me over Original Sin and how the old buffer has resorted to his modus operandi following defeat: malicious lies, false allegations and menaces. The silly old prick wrote:
"If homosexuality is God given, how can expressing that sexuality consensually be sinful?"
Astonishing that he can't see that the premise in this rhetorical question is totally wrong. Homosexuality is most certainly not God-given. This is textbook Pelagian heresy to make such a claim.
Homosexuality, as with every other human flaw, is the result of Original Sin.
He talks about Man made in the image of God. Yes, prelapserian Man. Man after the Fall is totally different - tainted by Original Sin and vulnerable to the promptings of Satan, the Father of Lies. Man no longer in the image of God.
However Man has been redeemed and it is possible to return to the image of God and to the Kingdom of God. But not while in sin. As St Paul puts it:
Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers—none of these will inherit the kingdom of God.
DUCKY DUCKWORTH: I suppose the old tosser will now accuse Saint Paul of equating homosexuality with fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers!
GENE: Yes no doubt Ducky.
MARY WINTERBOURNE: I am very impressed by this man, Fr Calvin Robinson, that you have introduced us to Gene. I agree with every word he says. He demolished the woke pinko-liberals of the C of E at the Oxford Union. It was so impressive.
TONY OF THE BIG SALOON: How old is Detterling these days?

Not so: the concept of Original Sin is not scriptural, dating as it does from C5AD. You failed to furnish proof texts from scripture, instead relying on the creation myths from Genesis. You'll be saying that God created the world in six days next.

Not so: I have continued to expose your pretentiousness, your lies and self-importance ["Close up on a phenomenon"], your rancid nastiness towards and deceitful betrayal of the late Clive James ["G'day, Gene, Clive James here"], and the asking of awkward questions - WHEN IS "GRANNY BARKES FELL IN WOOLWORTHS" GOING TO BE PUBLISHED?

Not so; not least because this is not a rhetorical question - it requires an answer, an answer you have proved to be totally incapable of supplying, instead proving a series of word salads consisting of waffle, bluff, bluster and downright lies.

People do not choose to be homosexual - it is a characteristic with which they are born, like red hair, blue eyes or ambidexterity. Or are you maintaining that red hair, blue eyes and ambidexterity are the result of original sin as well? If people are homosexual by nature, then that sexuality is God-given.

Nonsense. Human flaws - sins - are the result of either choice - deciding to write filth about buggering other men's wives, for example - or omission - failing to apologise for writing filth about buggering other men's wives, for example. Homosexuality is the result of neither choice nor omission. Therefore it is not a sin, nor has it any connection with the bogus concept of Original Sin, which is not scriptural, dating as it does from C5AD.

There is absolutely no scriptural basis for anything in that paragraph except for the first sentence - man is made in the image of God. The rest is superstition concocted from the myth of the garden of Eden, the serpent and the apple, and an unscriptural doctrine cobbled together five hundred years after the death of Christ.

Not so: there is no need to: St Paul does it himself, when he equates "sodomites" with fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers". It is presumed that by "sodomites" he meant "homosexuals", even though the word homosexual was not even coined until 16, 000 years after St Paul. And in any case, he was wrong, given that not all homosexuals express their sexuality through anal intercourse, and quite a number of heterosexuals do and, if it is legal and consensual, there can be nothing wrong with that.

If you are impressed with "Father" Calvin Robinson - a bogus priest in a bogus church [the so-called Free Church of England"] which is allied with Ugandan Anglicans who support the execution of homosexuals on the grounds of their sexuality - then there must be something wrong you.
But there again, coming from someone who equates homosexuality with a propensity for genocidal mass murder, and who thinks that buggering small boys and raping little girls is no worse than parking on a double yellow line, I suppose your support for this bigoted mountebank comes as no surprise.
Yet another epic fail for Gene "Two-Faced Fuckwit" Vincent, the Barbara Cartland of theology.
