What an interview! This man tells it like it really is.
I have just watched the Cook - Robinson, which was essentially Mr Robinson batting at both ends to his own bowling.
I am impressed by his sincerity, although this does not begin to make up for the intellectual incoherence of his dogmatic views, or the unpardonable arrogance with which he tells us how he alone knows the mind of God. At the same time, I recognise this line of bullshit as the one you have been peddling recently, so that is one mystery solved.
On the other hand I am not impressed at his ignorance of the Book of Common Prayer, nor his and Mr Cook's dismissal of the Living in Love and Faith project in the Church of England. Anyone who can, like Mr Cook, dismiss that project by saying "what does that even mean" has not undertaken the work necessary to dismiss it - that is, to read the 350 page book published in 2021.
Other than that I found it dull, predictable and cosy - it was less an interview than two punchably smug lightweights mutually brushing up their self-esteem - a kind of mutual masturbation - which, of course is fornication with the person you love most - yourself.

You will not arrange for this to be shown in you parish will you? It is devastating and could trigger a mass exodus to the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. He very successfully demolishes the absurd and unchristian claim of gay marriage.
I will certainly arrange to post the link in the next edition of the parish magazine, because this interview is an excellent summation of the Evangelical/fundamentalist case against homosexuality. It has all its certitudes - that bumptious arrogance built on dogma rather than an actual living faith in God - as well as its fatal weakness - a complete dismissal of the notion that, as all of us are made in the image of God, then our sexuality must be ordained by God.
It also glosses over the fact that Mr Robinson is not a deacon (nor will he be a priest) in the Church of England, He belongs to a branch of it called the Free Church of England which is part of the Global South and GAFCON areas of the Anglican Communion. This includes a group of African Anglican churches who actively persecute homosexuals, assault them and, in Uganda, assent to that country’s laws which make it legal to execute them. Appalling people and totally unChristian, but fit company for narrow minded bigots like Robinson and unprincipled bastards like you, who see homosexuality as the moral equivalent of genocidal mass murder. You must ask Mr Robinson how he feels about your view that paedophilia among the Catholic priesthood is a transgression no worse than parking on a double yellow line,

What I like about Calvin Robinson is the way he nails the crass error of blessing gay marriages. He states that such blessing can never be evoked. God cannot bless sin.
