 MEDJUGORJE AND ABORTION...

The Risen Christ sculpture at Medjugorje

The Medjugorje visionary, Mirjana Soldo, has commented:

“Once I plucked up my courage and, during an apparition, I asked Our Lady why these children (aborted) could not go to Heaven; why they had to suffer and be killed if they were innocent? They hadn’t chosen it. I said all sorts of things.

Then Our Lady said to me maternally and seriously: ‘No, these children are with me. There is no limbo. They are with me. Their parents will have to account for their sin of abortion.’

That’s what Our Lady told me. Here in Medjugorje, I had the opportunity to meet women who had an abortion and the majority of them  I’d say 95 percent of them  repented. They regretted what they did. It is a sincere regret which really comes from their heart.

These women are broken. I always recommend that they be honest in their Confession, go to a priest, kneel down before God and express their regret.”

'Their parents will have to account for their sin of abortion.’

That should put the fear of God into the pro-abortion lobby!

  1. Oh, Christ, Gene, what a cruel thing to do. You should not hold up this poor sick woman to such public derision. The poor soul is obviously prey to systematic delusions as a result of some kind of psychoaffective disorder.

People suffering from such disorders often come out with the barmiest nonsense, like your maintaining that homosexuality is the moral equivalent of genocidal mass murder, or that buggering small boys and raping little girls is a transgression on the same scale as parking on a double yellow line.

What an ignorant tosser! Thankfully the Vatican and the medical profession do not hold these views on Mirjana Soldo.

  3. Detterling this an appalling libel. Apologise to Mirjana Soldo immediately. If you don't legal steps will follow.

  4. Balls!

    Legal steps my arse.

Who DO you think you are, you pompous prick?

What am I going to be charged with?

    Having an opinion?

Well, if so, then you had better sue the Vatican as well.

    "Question:

What is the Church’s official stance on the reported Marian apparitions in Medjugorje?

    Answer:

In June 1981, the Blessed Mother reportedly began appearing regularly to several children in the town of Medjugorje, which is located in the Diocese of Mostar-Duvno, then part of Yugoslavia. (The diocese is now part of the nation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.)

In 1985, Mostar-Duvno’s bishop Pavao Zanic determined that the apparitions were not authentic, i.e., not of supernatural origin.

In 1991, the bishops’ conference of Yugoslavia ruled that the supernatural character of the reported apparitions could not be affirmed. This is different than a definitive declaration that there is no supernatural character.

Bishop Zanic maintained his position until his retirement in July 1993, when Bishop Ratko Peric succeeded him. Throughout his tenure in Mostar, which lasted until July 2020, Bishop Peric consistently reaffirmed the decision of his predecessor.

Bishop Petar Palic is the current Bishop of Mostar-Duvno, and he has not overturned his predecessors’ decisions.

The Holy See, consistent with the rulings of the local bishops, has allowed pilgrimages to Medjugorje, provided they don’t present the reported apparitions as approved by the Church, and has forbidden the faithful from participating in events where the reported seers present their reported apparitions as of supernatural origin.

Those who have experienced conversions—or a deepening of faith—associated with pilgrimage(s) to Medjugorje should know that the validity of their experiences does not hinge upon whether the reported apparitions are declared of supernatural origin. Indeed, the sacraments are valid at Medjugorje, and the Blessed Mother can—and does—fruitfully intercede for those who seek her sincerely, wherever that may be."

So stop talking bollocks, you ignorant prick.

You claim to speak for the Catholic Church and you have not the first clue about its disclaiming of Medjugorje.

    1. Again total ignorance. Medjugorje has not been disclaimed by the Catholic. In fact the opposite. Official pilgrimages are now permitted and Pope Francis has appointed an Apostolic Visitor, an Archbishop.

Also, more importantly, a Vatican commission worked for five years investigating the apparitions. Its findings were very positive indeed and validation will come in time - in fact the first seven days are recommended for authentication - with subsequent apparitions still under investigation. Full authentication cannot happen while the phenomenon is still happening.

Millions of pilgrims go there each year - pilgrims include cardinals, archbishops, bishops and priests. If Medjugorje was to be condemned by the Church it would have happened by now.

The millions of pilgrims are all wrong and you are right? Detterling don't you ever stop and listen to yourself?

Apologise for the vile slander you have perpetrated against Mirjana Soldo.

  6. Bollocks.

"If Medjugorje was to be condemned by the Church it would have happened by now."

Nothing in the post I made above "condemns" Medjugorje, and I didin't claim it did - more lies from the epic failfure Gene Vincent.

None of the flannel you have posted above alters by one syllable this official conclusion of the church:

"The Holy See, consistent with the rulings of the local bishops, has allowed pilgrimages to Medjugorje, provided they don’t present the reported apparitions as approved by the Church, and has forbidden the faithful from participating in events where the reported seers present their reported apparitions as of supernatural origin."

"The millions of pilgrims are all wrong and you are right?"

I have made no comment on the millions of pilgrims, who are free to believe what they like about the visionaries and their visions. Just as I am free to say that I think the whole Medjugorje vision business is un-necessary, superstitious and quite possibly bogus. As to which of us is right, I neither know nor care: Medjugorje is an irrelevance.

Gene, for so long as there is a hole in your arse you will, infallibly, grasp the wrong end of any stick that is offered to you.

  7. And the fact that millions of people believe something doesn't make it right.

After all, millions of homosexual Christians believe their sexuality to be God-given and hence that their expression of that sexuality in a loving, consensual relationship is not sinful.

According to you, you bastard, you pompous, lying, two faced PRICK, they are wrong, so stuff that up your capacious arse.

Gene Vincent, the Mr Facing Both Ways of the twenty first century.

    You are fucking loathsome.
