On the matter of Medjugorje, I do not write bollocks, I go to neutral sources factually verified. Gene's writings on the matter are always carefully elided so as to make them seem to say things that they do not.
For example, the 2024 Nihil Obstat decree is interpreted by Gene as an unconditional endorsement of the nonsense about apparitions, seers and miracles. Now that IS bollocks - see below.

“The Vatican Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith has investigated all the medical miracles associated with Medjugorje and ruled that none of them are medically authenticated or scientifically inexplicable.”
Gene, stop pretending to be a member of my family: it’s pathetic and demeaning, as well as unsettling. So far you have pretended to be my wife, my homosexual nephew and now you are pretending to be my niece. The pysychological implications of these mimeses are deeply unsettling, not least because you play those roles so unconvincingly. They are why, as a writer, you have nothing to say, because your imagination is so poverty stricken that you have no ability to inhabit (and hence write convincingly about) a personality other than your own. As for the Medjugorje video, I was deeply moved by the sincerity and genuineness of these young people whose spirituality has clearly been deepened by the Festival. What a contrast with your narrow, prescriptive and dogmatic bigotry, Gene.
I have nothing against Medjugorje as a place of pilgrimage - my quarrel is with the bogus apparitions and the “miracles”: phenomena that the Vatican Dicastery has, rightly, refused to authenticate. That is not bollocks, it is a fact.
