TERMINALLY ILL ADULTS (END OF LIFE) BILL

As expected the bar stewards are trying again. Shameful.

A fresh attempt to legalise assisted dying in England and Wales has been launched, with the MP behind the plan telling the BBC she wanted to "finish the job".

Lauren Edwards, the Labour MP for Rochester and Strood, said she would bring an identical bill to the one passed by the Commons last year.

That bill, brought by Labour MP Kim Leadbeater, was not passed by the House of Lords in April after an unprecedented number of suggested amendments delayed its progress until it ran out of time.

The proposed law - known as the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill - would have allowed people over the age of 18 who were expected to die within six months to be given help to end their own life, subject to certain safeguards.

Its opponents argued it had substantial flaws that risked vulnerable people being pressured into ending their lives early.

Image captioLauren Edwards told the BBC she was "playing by the rules" by bringing the bill back

By bringing exactly the same legislation, Edwards is threatening to trigger rarely used powers to override peers' objections should they refuse to pass it again.

Bills usually only become law if both Houses of Parliament agree on its final wording.

But the powers under the Parliament Act, which have only been used seven times in the last century, mean that if MPs pass an identical bill in two consecutive parliamentary sessions, peers cannot block it a second time.- would have allowed people over the age of 18 who were expected to die within six months to be given help to end their own life, subject to certain safeguards.

  1. “They will have Gene to contend with” (sic)!! What astonishing self importance - Gene “Groper” Vincent, the man who would die of shame if he once realised what a cretinous pillock he is.

Let’s look at his track record.

He opposed the provision of abortion clinics by the NHS. FAIL

He opposed the adoption of children by homosexual couples. FAIL

He opposed same sex marriage in the United Kingdom. FAIL

He opposed same sex marriage in the Irish Republic. FAIL

He tried to whitewash Joseph Ratzinger’s track record as a protector of paedophile priests in the Catholic Church. FAIL

He tried to deny that Pope Francis had authorised priests to bless same sex couples. FAIL.

    FAIL, FAIL, FAIL, FAIL, FAIL….

Proponents of the Assisted Dying Bill should welcome Gene’s opposition - it’s their best guarantee of success.

Gene “Groper” Vincent, the busted flush, the burnt out case, the kiss of death, the wankers’ wanker.

How’s the sequel to Granny Barkes dropped her guts in the British Home Stores coming along, Groper? Oops! Sorry, I forgot. You can’t write either, can you?

Better forge some more emails from Clive James before reality breaks through your ironclad self esteem..

  2. Nor am I repeating myself, Groper: it's the blog that's doing it - like everything else you touch, it's crap.

  4. Detterling how can you call yourself a Christian?

You support the vile sin of abortion, you condone the heinous sin of sodomy and you support the evil Nazi policy of Assisted Dying.

I would love to ram one of my high heel stilettos up your asshole.

  5. As I said, I have done with you, Gene, and that includes the shower of bogus shit that is your sock puppets, the troupe of your pitiable inventions that attempt to make it look as if someone actually reads this literary sewer. Your views on my spiritual state are, like you, meaningless garbage.

  8. Except that Gene is not a lady, although he enjoys groping young women too scared of him to knee him in the knackers. At least one of his victims wondered - does The Groper ask these young women’s ages before plunging his middle finger into the cleft of their backsides? If he doesn’t, then it would explain his bizarre dedication to the late Rolf Harris, serial sexual criminal and paedophile. It prompts another question - did Gene take out his membership of the PIE using the name Clint Tebbitt? I think we should be told.

  10. It’s a fair question though. Groper. And one you are avoiding. When you were groping young women too scared of to knee you in the knackers, did you ask their ages before plunging your hand down their knickers? Given that the school was stuffed with nubile young women including many in statu pupillary, I think we should be told.

    1. ….after all, as your hero Rolf Harris found to his cost, there is no statute of limitations when it comes to sexual assault…

  11. And while we are dealing with awkward questions, what is the truth concerning the allegations (published in graffiti form on the door of the third stall on the left in the Ladies bog in The Good Yarn) that Gene Vincent was a life member of the PIE, having joined using the name Clint Tebbit? The vehemence of his attacks on the PIE, like his rabid homophobia, suggest that he may have something to live down. I think we should be told.
