Dear Gene,
I am writing to congratulate you on your recent open letter to Justin Welby. Yes, you have nailed it. The Church of England is in its death throes. And it is all because of its support for the Gay Lobby. Instead of preaching the Gospel so many C of E priests and bishops are champing at the bit to institute, as Father Calvin Robinson has termed it, sacramental sodomy.
The Gay Lobby is the scourge of our times. Its pernicious effects are everywhere. The media and the entertainment industry carry non-stop promotion of all things gay. A national institution like The Archers now has gay and lesbian storylines. That much-loved programme, Coronation Street, broadcasts appalling scenes of homosexual activity. At the moment it has a storyline where a C of E vicar (Who else!) is in a homosexual relationship with a specimen of rough trade from the local council estate. And this before the watershed. What scandal for youngsters to watch!
Soon the C of E will hold gay marriages in C of E churches as you have predicted Gene. I will then leave the C of E and join Rome - and so will multitudes.
I am with you and Saint Paul Gene: '... no sodomites shall ever enter the Kingdom of God'.

That can be explained by Detterling having a gay nephew. Had Cuthbert (his nephew) not turned out to be gay Detterling would never have gone down the LGBTQ, Woke, Cottingley fairy route.
He really is a sad, pathetic figure old Detters. Did you know that he once did a John Stonehouse and faked his own death?
