Detters lets us put straight off our cards on the table. Yes, we are great friends with Gene and ardent supporters of his blog. We think Gene is tops.
That however does not mean that we wish to put you down in any way. We accept that you have a strong interest in, for example, literature and theology. Plus you can at times communicate adequately on these subjects. It is such a shame that you are at constant loggerheads with Gene. Especially as you are both former teachers and both are writers.
Some time ago Gene proposed that you both collaborate on a book entitled In the Footsteps of the Saints of the North East. An excellent project. So much material there: saints Hilda, Wilfrid, Aidan, Cuthbert and the opportunity to write about the Synod of Whitby and the holy islands of Iona and Lindisfarne.
Please take Gene's offer up Detters, and let the healing begin.

Gene, unless you take this blog down, you are doomed to the public disgrace you so richly deserve.
