What a wonderful spectacle today's funeral turned out to be. Peaceful, emotional, dignified, historic. Those children who in our schools watched the service from St Paul's on television today will remember this for life.
And what of the protests? Not a protester to be seen or heard. Wonderful. It reminded me of when the New Atheist brigade announced they would have Pope Benedict arrested when he came to Britain in 2010. They were made to look so foolish. Same thing today. Protesters swept aside in a tide of affection.
